Scott A. Roney

Interim Chair

Scott became ERC's Interim Chair in June 2007, succeeding Steve Potts.  An ERC Fellow since 2001, Scott is Vice President, Compliance and Ethics, at Archer Daniels Midland Company and formerly served as ADM's Corporate Counsel.

At ADM, Scott is responsible for legal compliance, ethical business conduct and interaction with regulatory bodies worldwide.  ADM's Office of Compliance and Ethics has global responsibility to direct and oversee implementation of standards and systems to ensure the ethical and legal conduct of the company's business in each of these substantive areas. 

Prior to joining ADM, Scott worked with the Nashville, TN, law firm of Farris, Warfield & Kanaday in its corporate and securities group.  He has been an active participant in the Open Compliance and Ethics Group, serving on the Framework Steering Committee and the Leadership Council.  He also is a member of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association. 

Scott holds a B.A. in economics from Illinois State University and a J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School.
