Frequently Asked Questions1. How much will these 7 questions really tell me?The seven questions are intended to yield data about the extent to which your organization's ethics and compliance program is achieving generally accepted outcomes. Data from these questions will provide a snapshot of ethics at your organization, allowing leadership to determine general areas in need of further inquiry. If your company is interested in pursuing a more comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of your organization's ethics and compliance program, contact ERC to discuss our assessment services. What if I can't use all the questions?ERC and ECOA strongly encourage you to use all of the questions presented, as they represent the various dimensions of an ethics and compliance program effort. That said, if overlap or external restrictions prevent you from using all of the questions, we ask that you work with ERC to determine which questions should be excluded. 3. What if I want more than 7 questions?If you would like to incorporate more than the core seven questions, you can contact ERC about conducting a full survey for your organization or about licensing additional questions. Our license fee includes one-time use of the question(s) in your organization's survey, data analysis, and inclusion of the additional data on your organization's link on the ECOA Community Page. We offer preferred rates for ECOA members on full employee ethics and compliance surveys. 4. What if I have to change the wording of the questions?To preserve the comparability of the data from these questions with data from other organizations, the questions cannot be modified. However, the questions can be slightly tailored to include your organization's name and the title used for your organization's Standards of Conduct. 5. When will I be able to see the findings?Findings will be available to view on the portal within 30 days after ERC's receipt of your company's raw data. 6. Who has access to my individual company data?Only the appointed representatives from your organization will have access to the portal site with your organization's individual data. Before adding your organization's data to the general ECOA Community Page, ERC will combine it with data from all other ECOA organizations to create one aggregate dataset. 7. How long can I have access to the findings?Your organization's representative(s) will have access to survey findings for 12 months from the date the data is first available. After 12 months, ERC will keep the data on file in case your organization decides to resurvey. 8. What kind of support can I expect as I work these questions into my survey?ERC will assign a project manager who will assist your organization in integrating the seven questions into your company survey. 9. Why do this through the ECOA?By participating in the benchmarking initiative through ECOA, your organization will gain access to:
