The 20th anniversary of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations (FSGO) is a milestone worth celebrating, and we have received positive feedback for our initiative to issue a public report on the strengths and challenges of the Guidelines. Many colleagues have expressed interest in commenting on our draft report on the FSGO; we are pleased to learn that so many individuals and organizations are paying attention to the details of our discussion draft.

Arlington, VA - In case you missed it, Paul McNulty and Thurgood Marshall Jr. shared their opinions in The Hill's Congress blog regarding the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations (FSGO) and how to ensure they remain relevant and effective 20 years after they were enacted. McNulty and Marshall are two of the 22 members of the FSGO Advisory Group organized by the Ethics Resource Center (ERC).

There is little debate on the impact of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations (FSGO) on corporate America since they came into existence 20 years ago. But there is no consensus on how they will be utilized in the future. Now, the Ethics Resource Center is giving the public a chance to speak directly to leaders in Washington on how we judge corporate America.

Arlington, VA – The whistleblower provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Dodd-Frank Act”) take effect on August 12, 2011. The new rules will set off some of the biggest changes in corporate ethics and compliance offices in history.
