Ethics Index
The ERC Ethics Index (SM), which leverages dataset collected from 1994 to 2005 through our National Business Ethics SurveySM (NBES), allows companies to:
- Collect information from their employees to measure the effectiveness of their ethics/compliance efforts;
- Benchmark to peer organizations; and
- Benchmark to national trends.
With its years of experience evaluating compliance and ethics programs, the ERC has developed a range of survey instruments organizations can use to collect organizational data. This dataset can be used to identify patterns of culture, decision or activity that management can use to address compliance and ethics issues earlier. The organization can then archive the data and use it over the years as baseline data to track trends in development of the organizational culture, allocation of program resources, and achievement of program outcomes.
Based upon the ERC's exclusive dataset from its National Business Ethics Surveys, the ERC Ethics Index™ also allows the organization to compare its program performance with benchmark data reflecting the experience of other organizations and industries.
