Roles / Responsibilities

  • Act as a local champion of a strong compliance culture across the Asia Apparel organization
  • Apply innovation to assess and improve current processes, put in place new processes required to drive continuous improvement and learning
  • Provide active coaching and mentoring of leaders and employees across the key compliance and ethics subject matter areas and INVISTA’s culture
  • Lead compliance aspects of new business projects with significant compliance risk
  • Develop organizational capability to support and sustain a strong compliance culture on a day to day basis
  • Understand and develop mitigation strategies for compliance risks
  • Support leaders and supervisors in their roles as compliance champions in their respective teams through face to face training and seeking best knowledge for each team
  • Involvement in investigations as necessary
  • Involved in the vetting/due diligence checks on new counterparties

Required Experience, Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of overall professional experience within a US/European headquartered multinational company
  • Leadership experience in driving organizational change and development, coaching and mentoring
  • Experience with assessing, implementing and improving organizational processes
  • Commitment to Integrity, strong ethical behavior & compliance with all applicable laws
  • Very strong alignment of virtues with INVISTAs 10 MBM® Guiding principles
  • Strong project management, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to assess, implement and improve organizational processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills
  • High level of motivation, sense of personal accountability & ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer focus coupled with good economic thinking skills
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English both written and verbal skills is essential, any other Asian languages would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and good presentation skills to Asia senior leadership and business teams.
  • Demonstrated strong organization and thinking skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - a quick leaner.
  • Prepared to travel (20%) to INVISTA facilities/offices & joint ventures throughout Asia including Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and domestically within China.
  • Some knowledge of Anticorruption, Antitrust, Third party oversight and intellectual property - preferred
  • Some knowledge of international trade regulations - preferred
