Independently handle complex, highly sensitive and confidential work of the Office of Ethics (ETH).
Deliver planned ETH products and services to the IDB and IDB Invest, including in the region. Serve as main point of contact and coordinator for ETH services to IDB Invest.
Provide oversight, advice, and recommendations to management (including senior management) and employees on interpretation of the Code, IDB Group policies, and the management of the IDB Group Declaration of Interests Program.
Provide support to the Ethics Officer in overseeing, developing, and carrying out communications, training, education, and other prevention activities to inform IDB Group employees and management of their ethical obligations and expectations. Lead complex training and communications projects, write articles, give presentations, and develop other ETH communications for wide dissemination.
Responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual reports and other written products to the IDB and IDB Invest Board of Executive Directors and senior management. Maintain all IDB Group offices that collaborate with ETH informed on relevant issues.
Oversee data analysis and build on best practices from different sources to determine trends and major issues; recommend and implement policies, procedures, and targeted programs for strategic use of ETH resources; and develop reports to senior management, auditors, and others on such issues.
Monitor and ensure the efficient and effective use of ETH resources and align their use to IDB Group priorities with proper internal controls. Recommends and implements policies and procedures on issues including workforce planning, performance management, planning for year-round deliverables and related expenditures; and tracking progress towards the ETH Strategic Plan goals and performance targets.
Supervise ETH consultants and oversee contracts with firms.
Support the Ethics Officer in activities related to allegations of employee misconduct, including interfacing with senior management.
Represents ETH internally and externally. In the absence of Ethics Officer, serves as Acting Ethics Officer.
