The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is seeking applicants to fill an opening for one regular member on its Board of Ethics (Board). The regular member position will be nominated by Prince George’s County Commissioners. The Board is comprised of three regular members and one alternate member. Each member is appointed by the WSSC Commissioners to a three-year term.
The Board administers the WSSC Code of Ethics (Code), issues advisory opinions, responds to requests for waivers of Code prohibitions, acts on Code-related Complaints and periodically reviews the adequacy of the Code. A background in workplace ethics is preferred. The Board generally meets from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the WSSC Headquarters building located at 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, Maryland 20707.
