Role:

Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Business Development is charged with accelerating ECI’s growth and profitability by expanding ECI’s member/client base.  This position develops and implements strategies to promote the organization’s products and services, and oversees the full sales cycle, including market research, needs analysis, outreach, and contracting.  The VP of Business Development works closely with other members of the senior management team to ensure ECI’s offerings are well developed and provide value to our audience.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage all resources necessary to drive new business; including budget development, forecasting revenue, and developing key contacts and business relationships with prospects.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies that consider new business growth and maintaining recurring revenue.
  • Seek out and source new members and clients, and build recurring revenue through renewal of pre-existing members and clients.
  • Oversee staff responsible for membership development, events, and training & certification.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to develop creative outreach strategies to attract and maintain members and clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership by collaboratively engaging ECI’s senior management team and boards of directors in business development outreach efforts.
  • Meet revenue goals and other targets as outlined in the annual strategic plan.
  • Build a network of contacts through prospecting and referrals.
  • Manage a staff of sales and operational specialists to ensure that all sales and membership services functions are working together to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Develop and ensure proposals are professional and tailored to address each stakeholder’s interests and business needs.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service through regular member/client follow up.
  • Update presentations and marketing materials based on member/customer feedback and competitive intelligence in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.
  • Recommend changes in ECI products and services to the Sr. Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, based on performance, feedback, data and competitive developments.
  • Respond to member and client inquiries, resolve problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Manage relationships with partner organizations.
  • Manage Salesforce to ensure quality and consistency of data.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to provide transparency of progress and performance.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in the ethics and compliance industry, familiarity with the implementation of effective ethics and compliance programs and selling services/products within the risk and compliance industry (GRC).  Previous experience as a corporate E&C practitioner preferred.
  • Ability to deal with pressure associated with meeting sales quotas.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with C-Suite executives and their staff.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful, and efficient manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and skilled at managing multiple complex projects at one time.
  • Able to understand the economics of the customer engagement, and effectively define and manage project scope.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and ability to interpret research data for practical use a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Saleforce a plus), Lead Generation and Marketing tools.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience delivering presentations and speeches.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Role:

Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for promoting and protecting the ECI brand.  The Director is responsible for the organization’s marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for ECI. These initiatives not only promote ECI’s GBES Research, Advisory Services and drive membership adoption, they expand ECI’s brand awareness and standing within the GRC marketplace.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop and execute marketing, communications and public relations campaigns and materials including, publications, social media, and media relations to meet strategic goals.
  • Ensure consistent communication of image, position and message throughout the organization both internally and externally by maintaining a comprehensive style guide and use guidelines.
  • Conduct customer, brand and product research.
  • Create standards of excellence designed to elevate the caliber of the organization’s level of professionalism and communication through all marketing-facing activities.
  • Provide editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all marketing and communications projects.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of corporate governance, risk, and compliance and ethics issues is a significant plus.
  • Manage staff and contractors in marketing and communications who provide support services in areas such as web presence, rich media, blogs and podcasts, livestreaming, event production, graphic design, public relations and writing.
  • Serve as an in-house writer and coordinator for news releases, speeches, statements, and testimony.
  • Advance the CEO’s public presence, promote ECI on Capitol Hill, and foster relationships with adjacent organizations, industry pundits, and media outlets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in senior marketing positions.
  • Experience in a nonprofit association, and promotion of conference events is preferred.

Role:

  • Cross-train to support accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required; including but not limited to:
    • Entering payables and receivables into the company accounting system;
    • Accurately process invoices including verifying transaction information;

    • Assist with payroll system and payroll related items.

Role:

 

ECI is seeking a part-time data scientist to support ECI’s predictive analytics project that is focused on evaluating and predicting organizational compliance risk. The ideal candidate will apply statistical, modeling and data mining tools to develop insights to take the project to the next level. The candidate will be adept at creating and optimizing models from diverse sources of data and must have tested experience in data mining/data analysis methods, data visualization tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and running simulations. The candidate must have a proven ability to drive business results with databased insights. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions to complex problems and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. A background in compliance, risk and fraud is helpful. This position requires approximately 20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models is desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use predictive modeling applied to organizational compliance risk.
  • Utilize a variety of data visualization techniques to extrapolate data from ECI’s proprietary model.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop and/or enhance existing data models and algorithms. Test model quality.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Mine and analyze data from external and company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging external and company-level data to drive business solutions utilizing ECI’s proprietary compliance risk model.

Qualifications

  • Advanced user of statistical computer languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, advanced statistical tests, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Tableau, Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, or similar.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers and social media platforms: Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Programming and coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc. a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

The role:

The Survey Researcher role will focus primarily on ECI’s Global Business Ethics Survey, a large-scale survey conducted annually to provide both content and normative benchmarks. The GBES is a longitudinal, cross-sectional study of integrity in the workplace from the employee’s perspective. Through the GBES, employees are surveyed on the strength of the ethics culture in their workplace, the instances of misconduct that they have observed, and what—if any—efforts are underway in their organization to promote integrity. The Survey Researcher will be primarily responsible for outlining the GBES survey methodology, managing the data collection effort with various vendors and developing a detailed analysis and data dissemination plan. The person in this position will work closely with senior leadership and other team members to shape the direction of the research and resulting content ensuring that it is consumable by a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the research process, data analysis, data visualization and the ability to use storytelling techniques with research content. Experience in conducting research on workplace topics is considered an asset.


The responsibilities:

  • Lead the questionnaire development for ECI’s annual GBES integrating perspectives from academic literature and trending ethics & compliance topics.
  • Determine the appropriate research plan and protocols including but not limited to assessing suitable methods to collect quantitative and qualitative data in a variety of countries.
  • Collect, validate and clean large volumes of structured and unstructured data using statistical analysis software and coding.
  • Conduct descriptive and advanced statistical analysis. Develop statistical models and/or tests to analyze data.
  • Produce research content at consistent intervals with the ability to manage independently short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Deliver data-driven research insights through a variety of content formats including written reports and infographics.
  • Utilize data for storytelling and the development of easy to grasp data visualizations and other graphical representations of data.
  • Effectively communicate and present research findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a database of global ethics data that is easily accessible by a variety of stakeholders.
  • Provide insight on approaches for aligning the GBES survey with other ECI surveys and assessments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to devise, build and implement or integrate solutions that advance technology roadmaps and organizational strategies.

The desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, statistics, data science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant analytical work experience.
  • Expertise in interpreting and reporting research results for a variety of audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in SPSS or similar statistical software package, including expertise in the application of coding techniques for statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of advanced statistical techniques including factor analysis, regression, weighting adjustment techniques, decision trees, segmentation and other intelligent decision models used to analyze response behaviors, interaction patterns and propensity.
  • Experience with manipulation of large-scale data sets, analytic tools and short cuts through syntax and programming.
