Role:

This position is responsible for the overall recruitment, retention, and strategies related to achieving membership growth and the engagement of our community. The role also includes oversight of sponsorship and exhibit opportunities at ECI events. The Director oversees a staff of 3 FTEs who are dedicated to membership recruitment, retention, and the provision of some of ECI’s core resources.

Responsibilities include:

Membership Development

  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of members, and the generation of revenue associated with the membership function of the organization.
  • Develop initiatives to increase member value.
  • Manage the implementation of products and services for members.
  • Develop outreach efforts with members in order to inform new member programs and services.
  • Identify adjacent membership and other non-profit or NGO organizations for affinity programs and shared opportunities.
  • Analyze industry conferences, seminars, and meetings to increase ECI involvement and competitive presence.
  • Create and implement campaigns for recruitment and establish procedures for onboarding of new members.
  • Identify and close new member opportunities and develop new lead information.
  • Participate in ethics-related events, committee meetings and regional conferences related to membership strategy and operations.
  • Collaborate with various Research and Benchmarking to periodically measure member satisfaction and determine appropriate programs, benefits and services to strengthen value

Operational Management

  • Create and execute strategies to meet or exceed annual goals and objectives in the areas of membership and sponsorship.
  • Develop overall membership and revenue targets within market, communicate goals and KPIs to staff and CEO, and measure outcomes.
  • Work with the senior management team to develop the annual budget.
  • Manage the CRM system to ensure accurate rosters and records for:
    • Each member organization;
    • Prospects;
    • Opportunities;
    • Vendors; and
  • Provide guidance and professional development to ensure constant improvement of the core competencies of the organization.
  • Oversee the dues invoicing billing systems and development; processing of payments and monthly reconciliation s.
  • Participate in board meetings to report on membership strategies, outcomes and performance.

Exhibits and Sponsorships

  • Responsible for selling sponsorship opportunities and exhibit space at ECI’s annual conference and other events.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships and develop sponsor retention strategy.
  • Create new and compelling conference sponsorship packages, and go to market materials.
  • Work with the events team to support on-site execution of sponsorships at conferences.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in membership recruitment and member retention with a proven ability to promote programs, products, and services to members.
  • Strong solutions thinker, proactive with solid organization and project management skills.
  • Experience in being responsible for revenue/expense management, staff supervision and ability to grow an organization’s membership.
  • Genuine customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively with internal team members as well as external members, sponsors, vendors and industry partners.
  • Ability to lead and direct staff.
  • High-level organizational skills and extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task, problem-solve, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Role:

A successful candidate has a broad knowledge of the many facets of business and market forces.  Experience in the ethics and compliance industry is a plus.  The ideal candidate will possess great listening and communication skills to provide well-formulated solutions and proposals, which contribute to the clients’ long lasting success.  This position helps develop and implement strategies to promote the organization’s products and services, and participates in the full sales cycle, including market research, needs analysis, outreach, and contracting.

The Consultant works closely with members of the Advisory Services and senior management team, and supports our Senior Advisors to ensure ECI’s membership, training, and advisory service offerings are well developed, and provide value to our audience.

  • Lead revenue generation and client support for ECI’s Advisory Services (AS) and culture change initiatives.
    • Directly managing client engagement and SOW development;
    • Support and direct senior advisors, data analysts and operational specialists to ensure that AS engagements are well managed;
    • Develop and ensure proposals are professional and tailored to address each stakeholder’s interests and business needs; and,
    • Ensure outstanding customer service through regular client follow up.
  • Work closely with CEO and other senior managers in meeting fee-for-service revenue goals and other targets as outlined in the annual strategic plan.
    • Establish and maintain effective sales strategies that consider new business growth and maintaining recurring revenue;
    • Manage relationships with partner organizations;
    • Ensure reports and dashboards in CRM, with the support of Finance, to provide transparency of progress and performance; and,
    • Develop and manage project plans in SmartSheet.
  • Ensure member and client inquiries are promptly addressed
    • Resolve problems;
    • Develop solutions and procedures;
    • Prepare and support the development of KPI reports; and,
    • Make recommendations to CEO as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to develop creative outreach strategies to attract and maintain members and clients.
    • Update presentations and marketing materials based on member/customer feedback and competitive intelligence.
  • Recommend changes in ECI products and services to the Sr. Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, based on performance, feedback, data and competitive developments.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in B2B consulting.
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills with a proven ability to present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice.
  • Familiarity with the implementation of effective ethics and compliance programs a major plus.
  • Previous experience as a corporate E&C practitioner preferred.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with a national management-consulting firm a plus.
  • Ability to describe and demonstrate the value of products and services, interface with prospective buyers, and design winning sales proposals.
  • Able to understand the economics of the customer engagement, and effectively define and manage project scope.
  • Very strong and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and skilled at managing multiple complex projects at one time.
  • Ability to deal with pressure associated with meeting sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and ability to interpret research data for practical use a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce a plus), Lead Generation and Marketing tools.

Role:

ECI is looking for an eloquent and efficient writer to join our team on a part-time basis.  The content writer will support projects initiated by the CEO, as well as other content for the digital, print and social media outreach of the organization.  The successful candidate strives to understand ECI’s audiences and is willing to learn and write on a variety of topics including ethics, compliance, misconduct, regulatory change, and the drivers of a culture of integrity.  The content writer will produce well-researched and accurate content on tight deadlines. Familiarity with ECI’s primary research efforts including the High Quality Ethics & Compliance Program assessment (HQP®) and the findings of ECI’s Global Business Ethics Survey® will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • Developing speeches, presentations, proposals, and other communications for the CEO
  • Contributing to ECI’s blog Top of Mind and conversations in ECI’s online community
  • Supporting ECI’s PR and media push with research, drafts, copywriting and editing of requested print and broadcast materials
  • Brainstorming and collaborating with CEO on new ideas and strategies
  • Supporting the development of ECI research reports, as needed
  • Collaborating with team members in marketing, PR, and development
  • Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)

The role:

The Survey Researcher role will focus primarily on ECI’s Global Business Ethics Survey, a large-scale survey conducted annually to provide both content and normative benchmarks. The GBES is a longitudinal, cross-sectional study of integrity in the workplace from the employee’s perspective. Through the GBES, employees are surveyed on the strength of the ethics culture in their workplace, the instances of misconduct that they have observed, and what—if any—efforts are underway in their organization to promote integrity. The Survey Researcher will be primarily responsible for outlining the GBES survey methodology, managing the data collection effort with various vendors and developing a detailed analysis and data dissemination plan. The person in this position will work closely with senior leadership and other team members to shape the direction of the research and resulting content ensuring that it is consumable by a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the research process, data analysis, data visualization and the ability to use storytelling techniques with research content. Experience in conducting research on workplace topics is considered an asset.


The responsibilities:

  • Lead the questionnaire development for ECI’s annual GBES integrating perspectives from academic literature and trending ethics & compliance topics.
  • Determine the appropriate research plan and protocols including but not limited to assessing suitable methods to collect quantitative and qualitative data in a variety of countries.
  • Collect, validate and clean large volumes of structured and unstructured data using statistical analysis software and coding.
  • Conduct descriptive and advanced statistical analysis. Develop statistical models and/or tests to analyze data.
  • Produce research content at consistent intervals with the ability to manage independently short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Deliver data-driven research insights through a variety of content formats including written reports and infographics.
  • Utilize data for storytelling and the development of easy to grasp data visualizations and other graphical representations of data.
  • Effectively communicate and present research findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a database of global ethics data that is easily accessible by a variety of stakeholders.
  • Provide insight on approaches for aligning the GBES survey with other ECI surveys and assessments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to devise, build and implement or integrate solutions that advance technology roadmaps and organizational strategies.

The desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, statistics, data science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant analytical work experience.
  • Expertise in interpreting and reporting research results for a variety of audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in SPSS or similar statistical software package, including expertise in the application of coding techniques for statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of advanced statistical techniques including factor analysis, regression, weighting adjustment techniques, decision trees, segmentation and other intelligent decision models used to analyze response behaviors, interaction patterns and propensity.
  • Experience with manipulation of large-scale data sets, analytic tools and short cuts through syntax and programming.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile deadline driven delivery environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, critical-thinking skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to focus on details.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage large-scale projects.
  • Background in ethics & compliance topics, HR and workplace topics, etc. strongly desired.
